I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!

#WhyIDidntReport. The first time it happened, I was 7. I told the first adults I came upon. They said “Oh, he’s a nice old man, that’s not what he meant.” So when I was raped at 15, I only told my diary. When an adult read it, she accused me of having sex with an adult man.

I was four, and he said he’d kill me. #WhyIDidntReport

These assaults were of course caught up in race, too — being exoticized and sexualized too young and taking what I could get as validation and attention when my white girl peers were fawned over and protected and admired. #WhyIDidntReport

Grateful for your courage @deray. I was 12. So was he. I reported it when it happened and the principal asked me what I did to “provoke” the assault. My attacker was back in class with me just a few days later. 8th grade was hell. Shamed if we do; shamed if we don’t. #MeToo https://t.co/QRn2hIwuWq

#WhyIDidntReport because it’s been 12 years and I still haven’t found the words or strength to say it out loud.

There are many like me.
#WhyIDidntReport bc I was scared I would lose all my friends, bc I was scared I would die, bc I didn't know how, bc I didn't really know I could, bc no one ever taught me what sexual assault was so when it happened to me I didn't even know. and bc I knew nothing would happen.

#WhyIDidntReport I was molested in 2nd grade. By the time I had the courage to tell someone—20 years later—the statute of limitations had expired. I couldn’t seek justice in the court of law but in speaking my truth I was finally able to start healing.

Fuck you @realDonaldTrump.
16 – Boys unbuttoned my shirt when I fell asleep at a party. I was too embarrassed to tell anyone. 21 – a man on the street groped me. I did report it. Police asked if I was drunk. 23 – A date tried to assault me. I thought I wasn't allowed to change my mind. #WhyIDidntReport
